Shaun Parsons

Shaun has been involved with the company since it first started in 1978 when it was called Chandler Freight Lines Limited. In 1992 the company was taken over by American logistics firm Trans Ocean Distribution Limited.

From a background of general forwarding and turnkey projects for a Polymer Factory in Jeddah, Brickwork’s Factory in Riyadh and a Banana Puree factory in Ecuador over the 14 years with Chandler, Shaun expanded his knowledge with Trans Ocean Distribution when after a couple of years of working on the forwarding division he was promoted to the logistics part of the business as European Operations Manager.

During the 1998 Management buy-out, Shaun was part of the management team to restructure the new business now known as PSP.

During the four and half years of PSP, Shaun has established the Operations department with his overseas links and world-wide knowledge of the industry. His development with the oil field industry in Texas USA has given PSP an increased exposure in the Middle and Far East markets, where major Texan manufacturers have expanded their pipeline equipment supply.

Alan Rogers

Head Office Manager

Alan Rogers

During his shipping career Alan helped set up Eastern European factories in Poland and Slovakia for a UK client and was involved in the Customs discussions in these countries for the direct deliveries of the product from Japan.
Also a major toy importer was set up by Alan from scratch due to a chance phone call and all the import licensing and bonded warehouses were set up to facilitate the customer’s business.

Overseas visits to Hong Kong and Japan helped set up establish agents in this part of the world and increased his knowledge of the culture of the people in these countries.

Alan has seen the advent of containerisation and the relaxation of the customs borders during his career, but in this ever changing business there are still more challenges ahead.

The enlargement of the single market in May this year has reduced the amount of documentation to be prepared by the freight forwarder but cargo still has to be moved and the role of our role remains an important part of the logistics chain.
