Team PSP 2008…….Bring it on!
Posted: 23 April 2008
Team PSP was very unfortunate at the end of last season. During the penultimate race Kev Elford sustained a racing injury and cannot return to racing until next season. So for the 2008 season Team PSP will have a new co-pilot: Emma Mulcahy.
Emma, 31 from Ringwood, had her first real test in the boat last weekend when Thundercat training took place at BP in Hamble. Having only ever been in the boat once before Emma wasn’t sure if it was going to be for her. But as the weekend progressed it soon became clear that Emma is perfect for the role. She is fit, agile and slightly crazy so she certainly fits the bill! They had one race during the couple of days and Team PSP was the winner. Let’s hope that this is taste of the future.
Although Kev is unable to race, Emma is lucky enough to benefit from his experience as he is supporting the team and assisting with training.
All of us at PSP are very pleased to welcome Emma to the Team and wish her & Scott all the best for the 2008 season.
